Honoring Curtis Martin on Sunday

November 16, 2007 By: Craig Category: Curtis Martin, Die Hard Jets Fan, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

On Sunday, Curtis Martin will be honored for his accomplishment on the field. Curtis had 11 seasons of 2000 yards rushing. Curtis was a powerhouse when running the ball. I read an article in the paper about how Curtis feels about the Jets season. The team is playing all right football and they should keep focus on there remaining seven games. Curtis also feels that Thomas Jones has not come to realize it takes time for adjustments in a new scheme.

Curtis Martin Will Make Retirement Official

July 24, 2007 By: Keith Category: Curtis Martin, New York Jets

I am not ready to launch this site yet, but this is big news. I tried to find an electronic version of the article but had no luck. Curtis Martin is planning to announce his retirement within the next two days according to the New York Post. He did not get to finish strong due to injury, and we would’ve loved to see him go down like that. In my era, he is the best Jets player I’ve ever seen.

He was a monster on the field. The second player to rush for more than 1,000 yards for the first 10 years of his career. He finished his career in the number four spot with 14,101 yards and he is the Jets all-time leading rusher. That’s a great career and we with Curtis luck in whatever life brings him. Hopefully, somebody else can step up and fill the void.
