Jets have big day with fish

December 03, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, Kellen Clemens, Kerry Rhodes, Mike Nugent, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Jets have field day against the Miami Dolphins yesterday. Gang Green plays well against a 0-11 team. We had many good things happen for the positive. Thomas Jones carries 24 times for 75 yards and his first touchdown this season. Kellen Clemens went 15 for 24 with 234 yards and a touchdown. The Jets defense also had a good day on the field with Darrelle Revis making tackles and an interception. Kerry Rhodes made some big tackles and interception to stop Miami. On special teams, it was all Nugent with 4 field goals. Lets all pray for the Jets to get healthy an continue from this week. All in all Gang Green played well not super. Newsday

Jets can play spoilers in Dallas

November 22, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, Dewayne Robertson, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Smith, Kellen Clemens, Kerry Rhodes, Laveranues Coles, New York Jets, Shaun Ellis, Thomas Jones

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Today Gang Green faces the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas. It has been a short week for the Jets, but I think we can pull off another win today. Back in 1999, the Jets beat Dallas 22-21 on a John Hall field goal. Clemens must play well and Thomas Jones must carry the ball at lest 30 time him to be effective. Kerry Rhodes and Shaun Ellis must be able to contain T.O. Jets defense has to play well. Darrelle Revis will have his hands full having to guard Terrell Owens must get help from Rhodes. Questionable are Laverneus Coles (ankle) Dewayne Robertson (knee) and S Eric Smith (concussion).

Self- destructing Jets what to do?

October 29, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chansi Stuckey, Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Kellen Clemens, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

The self-destructing of the New York Jets. The Jets looked like the bad news Bears yesterday. Chad Pennington should not have started. It seems Eric Mangini and Chad is friends. Last week all we heard was there were going to be big changes. the only change was that Jonathan Vilma would not start, that’s because he was injured. In yesterdays game Chad threw for 87 yards an Mangini really did not look upset. Gang Greens defense played well against Buffalos offense. Darrelle Revis had a good game. Thomas Jones also had a good game running the ball. It is time for a new coach and quarterback. You cannot blame Kellen for the interception late in the fourth quarter trailing by 10 points. Clemens tried his best with what was giving to him with three plus minutes left in the game.

October 05, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, New York Jets

Big blue is going to try an pick on Darrelle Revis. After last weeks game against Buffalo, Trent Edwards threw toward Revises direction most of the day for short passes. Darrelle made his biggest play of his early career on 3rd an 3 with two minutes left in the game. Darrelle made a big stop to give the Jets a chance to tie the game. Post

Trent Edwards attacks rookie Revis

October 02, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, New York Jets

Buffalo attacked Darrelle Revis on Sunday with 11 throws his way. Darrelle gave up 9 short passes for 83 yards. As much as Trent Edwards threw Darrelle’s direction there was not a big play against him. Eric Mangini said that Darrelle is improving, but does not have the ability to guard against the slot receivers.

Darrelle Revis is getting the respect of others

September 25, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, NFL, New York Jets

Darrelle Revis is getting the respect of veteran cornerbacks. In three games, there has not been much work for Darrelle at right corner. Revis has a natural feel for the game. Most quarterbacks seen to look his direction an go elsewhere. Almost all the throws Revies direction have been in front and low to the ground, which makes it hard for him to cover his receiver. Revis after missing his first 3 weeks of practice looks as if he did not miss any time off. (Newsday)

Jets defense and special teams need to stepup

September 18, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, Eric Mangini, Jonathan Vilma, Justin Miller, NFL, New York Jets

The Jets defense is shaky, there seems to be confusion with the players.  Darrelle Revis has minimal tackles in two games.  Jonathon Vilma also has not played to par; our lonely Jets have been getting beat because of lackluster play.  Jets special teams have not faired well either.  Giving up a 108-kickoff return for a touchdown against New England in week #1.  In week 2, they give up a 61-yard return.  Games are won and lost on special teams.  Even though the Jets start out 0-2, they have lost to premier teams.  This week the Jets play Miami, should be a better game for them.  Other notes Justin Millers injury could be season ending. Eric Mangini and staff are keeping a closed mouth on his injury.

THE JETS’ BIGGEST PROBLEM TODAY IS TOM BRADY

September 09, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chad Pennington, Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, NFL, New York Jets

Today is the day we Die Hard Jets Fans look forward to.  Our only problem that we have is New England. Tom Brady is 6-0 in the Meadowlands and 10-2 againts our Jets.  No matter how hard we try, Tom Brady always pulls through to beat us.  This year is different, we have a healthy Chad pennington and Thomas Jones in the backfield to help our running game. The Jets defense looks bigger and stronger, with the help of Darrelle Revis we should be fine.

Three Big Issues for Eric Mangini and the Jets

September 03, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Jacob Bender, NFL, New York Jets, Pete Kendall, Thomas Jones

Three large issues for Mangini’s Jets to be concerned about are: 1) Pete Kendall being traded to Washington.  Jacob Bender will not be able to fill the gap at left guard.  2) Thomas Jones was picked up in off season to be in the back field where the Jets were ranked 20th.  Thomas Jones may have run for 250 yards the last 2 years, but hasn’t played or practice in 3 weeks.  Will he be ready for Sept. 9th?  3) Is Darrelle Revis, who held out for 3 weeks looked good against the Giants, really going to be ready for the New England Patriots? Jets Take Game 20-12 in Last Night’s Game Against Giants

August 26, 2007 By: Craig Category: Brad Smith, Chad Pennington, Danny Ware, Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Justin McCareins, Kellen Clemens, Leon Washington, Mike Nugent, NFL, New York Jets

The Jets look like the same old Jets last night against the Giants. On opening kick-off  Brad Smith takes the kick-off and returns to the 21 yard line. First play from scrimmage, Chad Pennington hits Leon Washington for a 79 yard touchdown pass.  Mike Nugent has extra point blocked. Eric Mangini’s  Jet defense let the Giants offense drive down field 3 consecutive times , but only 3 points thanks to Tynes’ 2 missed field goal attempts in the 1st half.  After the opening drive, Chad Pennington was stopped  on the next 3 positions. As his offensive line could not stop the penetration from Big Blue’s defense sacking Chad Pennington. In the second half the Jets came out and thier defense showed up to play.  Darelle Revis had a couple of good tackles for the Jets. The second half belongs to Kellen Clemens and Danny Ware. Kellen Clemens, having a career night throwing for 47 yard touchdown to Justin McCareins.  In the 4 quarter, Kellen ran 1 yard for a touchdown. Clemens went 6 for 8 with 122 yards of passing. Danny Warehad impressive night running the ball.   Danny had 44 yards on the night. Over all the Jets played better in the second half og the game, Eric Mangini has some work ahead of him by Sept.9th when Gang Green plays the New England Patriots.
