. During Mondays practice Jerricho Cotchery injured his index finger. Cotchery is the team leader with 54 catches and will not play in todays game against the Miami Dolphins. It looks like Clemens will have to make passes to Eric Smith and Wallace Wright today. Both teams s eem to be struggling on offense and defense. Todays injury report questionable are CB David Barret(hip),Laveranues Coles(ankle),TE JamesDearth (foot) DT Dewayne Robertson (knee).

What happened the to Jets offense? Yes, Chad Penninington had a great day throwing the ball. Chad threw for290 yards on 32 passes, Jerricho Cotchery had 8 catches for 108 yards, Coles having caught 8 passes for65 yards. Even with those numbers Chad made two big INTs in the fourth quarter that probably cost them the game. Thomas Jones ran for a big total of35 yards. What does everybody think when the offense cannot score points with the numbers that Chad had. Newsday

Today will be a day for Chad Pennington and his receivers. Chad will take advantage of Buffalos corners with passes to Jerricho Cotchery and Justin McCarrein. Thomas Jones will be able to have another 100 plus yards this game. As I see it, Dewayne Robertson and the Jet defense will contain Marshawn Lynch, and rookie Quarteback Trent Green. Today is going to be a beautiful day in Orchard Park for New York.

In the 1st quarter, Jonathan Vilma and Shaun Ellis blitzed Trent Green for the first sack of their season. Pennington on his own 45-yard line takes a helmet-to-helmet shot from Channing Crouden for a personal foul. That put the Jets on Miami’s 11-yard line. Thomas Jones has three carries and puts the ball on the 1-yard line. Chad Pennington threw to Laveranues Coles in the left corner for a Touchdown. Next series, Trent Green throws a screen pass to Ronnie Brown for 42-yard play. Ronnie Brown takes it in for 1 of his 3 touchdowns. Yesterday, the Jets almost made a great comeback. However, not to be had. The Jets players like Jericho Cotchery, Thomas Jones, and Kellen Clemens. Jericho, who almost broke Keyshawn Johnson’s record for most passing yardage in a single game, had seven catches for 165 yards. Thomas Jones did not have a breakout game. Thomas ran for 67 yards on 24 carries. He is getting better. Kellen Clemens went 19 for 37 260 yards passing and one touchdown. Also, he threw one interception. Kellen had three passes dropped by players that would have tied the game at 20 all. We, the Jets fan, mostly look at the positive side of yesterday’s defeat against Baltimore. Today, Kellen Clemens had a banner day in the second half. Kellen was beaten up by Baltimore’s defense in the first half. The Jets offensive line came together for Kellen. Starting the 4th quarter down 20-3, Kellen made a 42 yard pass to Kevin Cocthery.  However, the Jets could not score a touchdown, and they had to settle for a field goal. With 6 minutes left in the game, Kellen took the Jets down for a touchdown with a pass to tight end Chris Baker. The defense had held Baltimore. The Jets got the ball back with 3 minutes left in the game. Kellen drove the Jets down field. Mangini’s Jets had three blown chances 1) dropp by McCareins 2) low throw to Coles and 3) tip off McCareins hand.
