Today the Jets got beat with no offense. Johnathan Vilma and the defense did their part in containing Donovan McNabb and his offense. Chad Pennington needs to be benched and let Clemens play. With 3 minutes left in the game trailing 16 to 9, the Jets had 4th an 1 on Philidelpia’s 18 yard line…what does Mangini call? A screen to Laveranous Coles. Mangini needed to give the ball to Thomas Jones at that moment. Jones who had a good game with a 130 yards. What will tomorrows topic be? It’s time to make a quarterback and coaching change.

This week, the Jets practice was not their usual type. Eric Mangini was convinced that being physical will be his way of winning games. Today the Jets go against Philadelphia and Donovan McNabb. If the Jets can get to McNabb, they have a chance of staying close. Jonathan Vilma and company must put pressure on McNabb. Gang Green has only three sacks in 5 games this year. When the Eagles played the Giants 2 weeks ago Mr. Mc Nabb was injured and without Westbrook and Thomas who help block for Donovan. Today is when the Jets take the field in their old jerseys hoping to win. Chad Pennington must be mobile and not wait to decide whom to throw too. Thomas Jones must pound the ball this afternoon. Jets special teams cannot carry this team. In short, Gang Green must play like champions this afternoon in order to win.

After reading today’s article in Newsday, It tells me that what I was saying all along. Five reasons why where losing. 1) time to run Thomas Jones, Jones needs to carry the ball a minimum of 25 times to perform, 2)defense needs to wake up and Blitz, 3)I have also said to get physical and emotional, 4)Leon Washington needs to be in more plays on offense. 5) My biggest concern is when Mangini is going to pull Chad Pennington. It is time for Clemens to take control of the offense.

The versatility of Jonathan Vilma is incredible. Jonathan in the off-season worked hard to get his body in shape for this coming year. Vilma has 1093 defensive snaps last season, which ended last week in Buffalo. Jonathan wants to play in every snap count on special teams and defense. Eric Mangini calls Vilma Mr. reliable. Newsday

Erik Coleman will most likely not start Sunday against the Giants. Erik suffered a concussion in Buffalo last week. Coleman will be replaced by Eric Smith. Chad Pennington had limited practices this week. Kellen Clemens took more time with the first string this week. According to must articles Mangini is being quiet about Chads ankle and if he is going to start Sunday.

Eric Mangini is not the type of coach that shows emotion. The Jets are 1-3 an Mangini does not think it is time to worry. None of the Jets has any intensity on or off the field. This is necessary win for a morality booster. Eric has his players thinking that it is all right to be relaxing, and work together as a unit. I myself and other Jet fans think it is time to kick some ass. Big Blue played extremely well against the Eagle last week and had 12 sacks. This week will belong to Gang Green as long as the offensive line pushes back so Thomas Jones can run.

After reading an article in Newsday about the Jets Offense saying how poor their play is. I did some research on them, and guess what? They were right Chad Pennington might have had a good game in Buffalo, but 23 of those passes were for 10 yards or less. Chads ability to throw a ball more than 30 yards does not exist on the field. Brain Shottenheimer must realize that in order to win games you must be able to throw downfield for 40to 50 yards. Thomas Jones also must contribute to the running game and pick up 5 to6 yards per carry for the Jets to be effective on offense. Eric Mangini should have stayed with the same format that got New York into the playoffs last year.

Unlike most teams that play Buffalo, the Jets take them quiet seriously. Eric Mangini has had his team practice as if it was for the playoffs. His reasoning for this is based on whom they have faced. Buffalo has lost to teams that are 8-1 combined. The Jets face a team that is ready to explode on somebody, and they want to be prepared if they do. The Buffalo Bills are not the worst team in football they have played premier teams. If an when they do look out. They will pummel there opposition.

Chris Baker the unsung player for Gang Green. Yes Chris Baker only has four catches in three games, oh how big they are. Sunday against Miami Chris catches a touchdown pass form Chad Pennigton with 2 seconds left in the first half. In week, two against Baltimore Chris caught a TD from Kellen Clemens and a big first down. Chris Baker would like more opportunities to have more passes thrown to him. However, with all Manginis receivers it is hard to put Chris into play situations. Chris job is mainly to block for his offensive line and running backs.(Newsday)

Darrelle Revis is getting the respect of veteran cornerbacks. In three games, there has not been much work for Darrelle at right corner. Revis has a natural feel for the game. Most quarterbacks seen to look his direction an go elsewhere. Almost all the throws Revies direction have been in front and low to the ground, which makes it hard for him to cover his receiver. Revis after missing his first 3 weeks of practice looks as if he did not miss any time off. (Newsday)
