Jets need alot of offense after last week

October 03, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chad Pennington, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

After reading an article in Newsday about the Jets Offense saying how poor their play is. I did some research on them, and guess what? They were right Chad Pennington might have had a good game in Buffalo, but 23 of those passes were for 10 yards or less. Chads ability to throw a ball more than 30 yards does not exist on the field. Brain Shottenheimer must realize that in order to win games you must be able to throw downfield for 40to 50 yards. Thomas Jones also must contribute to the running game and pick up 5 to6 yards per carry for the Jets to be effective on offense. Eric Mangini should have stayed with the same format that got New York into the playoffs last year.

No points in Jets offense

October 01, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chad Pennington, Jerricho Cotchery, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

What happened the to Jets offense? Yes, Chad Penninington had a great day throwing the ball. Chad threw for290 yards on 32 passes, Jerricho Cotchery had 8 catches for 108 yards, Coles having caught 8 passes for65 yards. Even with those numbers Chad made two big INTs in the fourth quarter that probably cost them the game. Thomas Jones ran for a big total of35 yards. What does everybody think when the offense cannot score points with the numbers that Chad had. Newsday

Gang Green does not show up in Buffalo

October 01, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chad Pennington, Die Hard Jets Fan, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

The misery of the Jets. Yesterday should have been a game winner for Eric Manginis Jets; I do not know what team showed up. Must have been pop Warner peewees at Orchard Park. If Gang Green thinks that, a loss to Buffalo was bad, wait until next week when they play the Giants. Thomas Jones who carried to ball 12 times for a mere 35 yards when Buffalo gives up an avg. of 177 yards per game. Even Chad Pennington had a good day passing 29for 32 and 290 yards. However, in the fourth quarter Chad throws two costly INTs, which cost their last drive to tie the game. Ah the defense what to say, Your so called defense that started to look like last years team didn’t come to play. Must of thought today would be easy? The Jets gave up to many penalties on defense. Which kept giving Buffalo forward motion, and eventually giving up points? So who’s to blame for yesterday loss the players? Let us get to practice an get ready for a tough match against Big Blue.

Three positives from yesterday’s loss

September 17, 2007 By: Craig Category: Die Hard Jets Fan, Jerricho Cotchery, Kellen Clemens, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Yesterday, the Jets almost made a great comeback.  However, not to be had.  The Jets players like Jericho Cotchery, Thomas Jones, and Kellen Clemens.  Jericho, who almost broke Keyshawn Johnson’s record for most passing yardage in a single game, had seven catches for 165 yards.  Thomas Jones did not have a breakout game.  Thomas ran for 67 yards on 24 carries.  He is getting better.  Kellen Clemens went 19 for 37 260 yards passing and one touchdown.  Also, he threw one interception.  Kellen had three passes dropped by players that would have tied the game at 20 all.  We, the Jets fan, mostly look at the positive side of yesterday’s defeat against Baltimore. Today we see what Kellen Clemens has to offer

September 16, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chad Pennington, Kellen Clemens, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Today, the Jets face a tough Baltimore defense who lost their own game against the Bengals last week.  Tomas Jones, who started off last week with only 42 yards, plans on having a big day in Baltimore with Clemens playing quarterback.  As of this morning Chad Pennington was on the field trying to put weight on his ankle.

Kenyon Coleman played well against New England

September 16, 2007 By: Craig Category: Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Justin McCareins, Kellen Clemens, Kenyon Coleman, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Kenyon Coleman, who on Sunday had 12 tackles, is looking sharp on the defense.  Kenyon said he feels comfortable with the players and play calling.  Eric Mangini feels that Kenyon will excel in his position.  With the start of Kellen Clemens on Sunday, the Jets will probably throw more to Justin McCareins with his height and speed.  Thomas Jones has been practicing a few days now, and he feels 100 % and ready to run on Baltimore’s stingy defense.

PATRIOTS BEAT JETS 38-14

September 09, 2007 By: Craig Category: Chad Pennington, Die Hard Jets Fan, NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Today Tom Brady and Randy Moss  took advantage of the Jets defense. Tom  threw to randy for a 123 yards today. Chad Pennington had an OK day. Thomas Jones ran for 32 yards on 12 carries. The Jets defense was very inepted, letting  the Patriots run all day. Our only bright spot was after Chad went down, here came for the next series to drive for a touchdown. After this defeat we’ll have to get ready for Payton Manning and the Colts.

Jones will be able to play against the Patriots

September 04, 2007 By: Craig Category: NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Thomas Jones will be playing on Sunday.  He said that he’ll be 100 percent ready to play.  My feeling is he is not ready to play 100 percent.  Thomas had very little practice since he got injured.

Three Big Issues for Eric Mangini and the Jets

September 03, 2007 By: Craig Category: Darrelle Revis, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Jacob Bender, NFL, New York Jets, Pete Kendall, Thomas Jones

Three large issues for Mangini’s Jets to be concerned about are: 1) Pete Kendall being traded to Washington.  Jacob Bender will not be able to fill the gap at left guard.  2) Thomas Jones was picked up in off season to be in the back field where the Jets were ranked 20th.  Thomas Jones may have run for 250 yards the last 2 years, but hasn’t played or practice in 3 weeks.  Will he be ready for Sept. 9th?  3) Is Darrelle Revis, who held out for 3 weeks looked good against the Giants, really going to be ready for the New England Patriots? Don’t Make Me a Jets Running Back

August 14, 2007 By: Keith Category: NFL, New York Jets, Thomas Jones

Curtis Martin…retired.  Cedric Houston…lost the love for the game and quit.  Thomas Jones injured his right leg in practice yesterday.  Who’s left?  If I were a Jet I wouldn”t want to be the Running Back because none of them are playing.  If you’re a Full Back on the Jets then stay one.  Don’t help out the team by switching roles.  You don’t want to stop playing football.  Just play your position as well as you can.

How good did the Jets look the other night?
