Today in New England, the Jets must play goods football. The defense must put lots of pressure on Tom Brady in order to be effective. Kerry Rhodes must take charge in leading his team today. Kellen Clemens will see many different styles of blitzes from the Patriots. Eric Mangini will also see if Clemens will be their starting quarterback or draft one next year. However, which Jet team will show up today? Hoping the team that beat the Pittsburg Steelers.

Bill Belichick certianly does carry a grudge. Since opening day in the Meadowlands, and being called a cheat. Since that week New England has crushed must of it’s competition in the NFL. But, this week in Foxborough Gang Green will hold thier heads up, and then Brady and company will start to beat them up an show no mercy. Eric Mangini will remember this game for a long time. On thier brighter side Thomas Jones will break the 1000 yard mark.

After reading all the articles about Sunday’s game. It looks like Mr. Belichick was caught cheating. After being down at halftime, the Jets were still in the game. Mr. Belichick and the camera operator decided to take matters into their own hands. Even starting out 0-1, we can still win. However, to start out against cheaters is a disgrace. Whats going to happen to Mr. Belichick? Maybe nothing but a slap on the wrist.  If anybody really thinks that Mr. Goodell is going to fine or take action against Mr. Robert Kraft and his beloved Patriots then you’re wrong. Last year at Lambeau Field, the reports came in from ESPN that this same issue happened there.
Let’s get to Chad Pennington, all sources say that Chad’s ankle is all wrapped up and he can barely keep pressure on it. My guess is Mr. Kellen Clemens will probably start on Sunday against Baltimore.

Yesterday’s demolish by the New England Patriots was just that. After being down 14-7 at half, the Jets really did not look that bad. The Jets opened up the second half with Ellis Hobbs taking the opening kickoff for a 108-yard touchdown return. That my friends was the start of disaster for New York. The Jets could not contain Tom Brady and his teammates, especially Randy Moss who exploded with a touchdown pass of 51 yards. The Jets need to regroup for next week against Baltimore. Chad Pennington came in after getting hurt and took his team in for a touchdown. Depending on how bad Chad is, Eric Mangini will start Kellen Clemens next Sunday.

On Sunday, the real test for Mr. Bender begins. Jacob has had a decent preseason.  During the Giants game, he had gotten beaten badly by defensive lineman. When the Jets played against Philadelphia, Jacob was having a better game.  It must of been because Jacob was feeling more confident in his position. When Sunday’s game comes around, will Jacob Bender have butterflies or will he stand up to the pressure of New England?

Eric Mangini and Bill Belichick are playing guessing games with each other.  If you have been following the Preseason, Randy Moss has been out with a leg injury and Thomas was out with a calf injury. All coaches know what Randy Moss can do on the field. Thomas Jones is a different story. Belichick’s Patriots have not played that much against Jones. Both teams know each other very well. Last season both games were decided by less than a touchdown. This week I feel the Jets have an advantage over New England with Thomas Jones. (Newsday)

Three large issues for Mangini’s Jets to be concerned about are: 1) Pete Kendall being traded to Washington. Jacob Bender will not be able to fill the gap at left guard. 2) Thomas Jones was picked up in off season to be in the back field where the Jets were ranked 20th.  Thomas Jones may have run for 250 yards the last 2 years, but hasn’t played or practice in 3 weeks. Will he be ready for Sept. 9th? 3) Is Darrelle Revis, who held out for 3 weeks looked good against the Giants, really going to be ready for the New England Patriots? After Thursday night’s game against the Eagles, Eric Mangini was impressed with his players on the second and third teams.  Especialy with the play of Marques Tuiasosopo in the 4th quarter. The only starter for the Jets that game was Jacob Bender because he was in the need of practice. Eric Mangini’s regular starters didn’t play last night because he was looking toward Sept. 9th against the New England Patriots. Â

The Jets look like the same old Jets last night against the Giants. On opening kick-off Brad Smith takes the kick-off and returns to the 21 yard line. First play from scrimmage, Chad Pennington hits Leon Washington for a 79 yard touchdown pass. Mike Nugent has extra point blocked. Eric Mangini’s Jet defense let the Giants offense drive down field 3 consecutive times , but only 3 points thanks to Tynes’ 2 missed field goal attempts in the 1st half. After the opening drive, Chad Pennington was stopped on the next 3 positions. As his offensive line could not stop the penetration from Big Blue’s defense sacking Chad Pennington. In the second half the Jets came out and thier defense showed up to play. Darelle Revis had a couple of good tackles for the Jets. The second half belongs to Kellen Clemens and Danny Ware. Kellen Clemens, having a career night throwing for 47 yard touchdown to Justin McCareins. In the 4 quarter, Kellen ran 1 yard for a touchdown. Clemens went 6 for 8 with 122 yards of passing. Danny Warehad impressive night running the ball.  Danny had 44 yards on the night. Over all the Jets played better in the second half og the game, Eric Mangini has some work ahead of him by Sept.9th when Gang Green plays the New England Patriots.

Vinny Testaverde signed another one year deal with the Patriots, as back-up QB, according to the New York Post. This is Vinny from Elmont…In an era where Quarterback’s get fired after winning the Superbowl, how does the NFL’s All-Time loosing’s Quarterback keep getting re-signed? It’s really strange if you think about it. He is 43-years-old, and I remember being a Banquet Waiter and working his 40th Birthday Party when he was on the Jets. Do you think Vinny should keep playing?
